Two monthly forums run in both Hull and York Hospitals, each led by a senior A&E consultant. All sessions are standalone and attended by medical students of all years, nurses, doctors and emergency practitioners such as paramedics, community first responder groups and fire search and rescue. Topics delivered are relevant to pre-hospital care such as emergency airway management and mechanisms of trauma.
A breakout Moulage (“mock injury”) session takes place after the lecture, in order to demonstrate techniques relevant to the topic discussed. A Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Certificate is awarded at the end of each forum.
